MAJI CURRY, which opened in April 2018,
competed in the 8th Kanda Curry Championship,
a curry event held in November of the same year in Kanda Jimbocho,
where there is a high concentration of curry specialty restaurants.
The Kanda Curry Championship brought together 20 fan-voted restaurants for the final.
Over the course of two days,
42,000 visitors tasted the curries and voted
for the one they considered tastiest to be the winner.
Maji Curry received the most votes from customers there and won the Champion.
Winning the Championship within seven months
of its establishment was the shortest ever,
and at the time it was considered a legendary curry shop.
